NOTICE REGARDING THE FILING, ACCESS, AND SERVICE OF SEALED DCOUMENTS
On September 24, 2025, Chief Judge Timothy M. Cain entered Standing Order Standing Order 3:25-mc-732-TMC rescinding Standing Order 3:25-mc-694-TMC, In Re: Procedures for the Filing of Sealed Documents, which had been entered as a temporary measure to preserve the integrity of this Court's docket. Standing Order 3:25-mc-732-TMC also directs Filing Users to resume filing sealed documents via CM/ECF immediately.
Filing Users will resume filing sealed documents in CM/ECF under existing procedures, but they will no longer be able to access or view those sealed documents electronically.
A party with the right to access a sealed document can still request a paper copy by contacting the Clerk's Office. Because sealed documents filed in CM/ECF will no longer be accessible or viewable electronically, service cannot be accomplished through CM/ECF.
Parties will have to serve sealed documents by other authorized means as provided by the Federal Rules of Procedure.
The Court will serve sealed documents in paper by U.S. Mail or other authorized means.
