The United States District Court for the District of South Carolina continues to closely monitor the national response to the respiratory illness caused by Coronavirus (COVID-19). We would like to assure the public that we are reviewing the recommended guidelines provided by the S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control and the Centers for Disease Control to ensure our planning is based on the best available information from public health experts to ensure the safety and health of our visitors and staff.

For those required to appear in court or who are called as jurors:

In the event that you have been asked to self-quarantine by any doctor, hospital, or health agency, recently have been diagnosed with or have had contact with anyone diagnosed with COVID-19, or you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, such as fever, cough, shortness of breath, nasal congestion, loss of taste or smell, muscle aches, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, please contact the court before appearing. The court will make reasonable accommodations and reschedule appearances as needed.
